Corey4NM (“we,” “us,” or “our”) is the campaign committee for Corey Zimmerman, candidate for New Mexico House District 26. This policy explains what information we collect through corey4nm.com and our text messaging program, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Information we collect
Information you give us. When you sign up to volunteer or contact us through our website, we collect the information you enter, such as your name, email address, phone number, the ways you’d like to help, and any comments or questions.
Donation information. Contributions are processed by our payment processor, Anedot. To comply with New Mexico campaign finance law, we collect contributor information such as your name, mailing address, and, where required, occupation and employer. Your payment card information is handled by Anedot and is not stored by the campaign.
Information collected automatically. Like most websites, our site and its hosting provider may automatically collect basic technical information, such as your IP address, browser type, device type, and pages visited. This information helps us keep the site secure and working properly.
How we use your information
We use the information we collect to:
- respond to your questions and comments
- coordinate volunteer activities, such as yard signs, phone calls, and door-to-door outreach
- send campaign updates, event information, and requests for support by email or text message, if you have opted in
- process contributions and meet our legal reporting obligations
- keep our website secure and improve how it works
Text messaging (SMS) program
If you provide your mobile number and consent to receive text messages, you agree to receive recurring text messages from Corey4NM about campaign updates, events, volunteer opportunities, and fundraising. Consent is not a condition of volunteering, donating, or supporting the campaign.

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties. This excludes service providers that help us deliver our text messages, who may use the information only for that purpose.
How we share your information
We do not sell your personal information. We may share information only:
- with service providers who help us run the campaign, such as website hosting, payment processing, email, and text messaging providers, who may use it only to provide services to us
- as required by law, including campaign finance reports filed with the New Mexico Secretary of State
- to protect the rights, safety, or security of the campaign, our supporters, or others
Please note: New Mexico law requires us to report certain contributor information. Those reports are public records.
Cookies and third-party content
Our website may use cookies and similar technologies to make the site work and to understand how visitors use it. You can set your browser to refuse cookies, though some features may not work properly.
Our site links to our social media pages, such as Facebook, and may display content from other websites. When you visit those sites or interact with that content, the other site’s own privacy policy applies.

We may need to keep certain records, such as contribution records, to meet legal obligations.

We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Children’s privacy
Our website is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
